The church was built in the 1870s when the town of Millom grew up. It is an impressive sandstone building with a spire which is visible for miles around. The church houses a stained glass window in memory of the poet, Norman Nicholson, who worshiped at the church.

Built in 1890 to serve the once fishing village of Haverigg as it expanded when a rich seam of haematite ore was discovered nearby. It has an impressive west window designed by Peter Storm depicting the history of the village. The church is open most days.

St Anne’s Church is situated near the junction where the A5093 branches off the A595 towards Millom. The postcode is LA18 5HP.
