Thrimby, St Mary

Location: Centre of Little Strickland GK-NY 562 197
Description: Medieval Church, first restored in 1686, then in 1813 moved from original position near river, to centre of Little Strickland. A good example of early 19th Century church building, being a simple rectangular room with a flat ceiling and no east window - giving special prominence to the simple Altar Table. 16th century dates and initials can be found in the pews. Small, friendly and inclusive congregation.
1st Sunday: 9.15am Morning Prayer - lay led
2nd Sunday: Joint benefice service - varying locations
3rd Sunday: 9.15am Holy Communion alternating BCP and Common Worship
4th Sunday: 6.30pm Evensong - viacr or lay-led
