Aikton St Andrew

Location: Situated approximately 1 mile east of the village in the direction of Wiggonby (signposted from road).
Description: St Andrew’s is a beautiful traditional village church which has been the heart of worship in Aikton for most of the last thousand years. It is an architectural gem set in beautiful countryside with wonderful views over the Lake District. Our worship incorporates a rich variety of styles to reflect modern tastes and our traditional Anglican heritage. St Andrew’s is part of the wider benefice of Barony of Burgh which also incorporates Burgh-by-Sands, Kirkandrews on Eden with Beaumont and Grinsdale, Great Orton and Kirkbampton.
1st Sunday: 11.15am Mattins (Traditional morning worship from the Book of Common Prayer)
2nd Sunday: No service at Aikton – please see our sister churches (listed above)
3rd Sunday: 11.15am Family Communion (Modern and Traditional worship for all the family)

4th Sunday: 11.15am Holy Communion (Traditional communion service in modern language)
5th Sunday: 10.30am United Benefice Service (Venue rotates – check Parish Magazine for venue)
