| Location: |
Situated prominently at the Northern end of the village. |
| Description: |
St Giles’s is a beautiful village church which has been the heart of worship in Great Orton for almost 1,000 years. Our worship incorporates a rich variety of styles to reflect modern tastes and our Anglican heritage. In addition to our traditional services, we hold café worship, called “CRUNCH”, in the village hall on the first Sunday of each month during school term time. It is a popular, lively, interactive event based around eating supper together. Both worship and food are suitable for all ages. All are welcome. There is no charge and no need to book.
We also have a women’s fellowship group, “The Hub”, which meets on Tuesday mornings during term time.
St Giles’s is part of the wider benefice of Barony of Burgh which also incorporates Aikton, Kirkandrews on Eden with Beaumont and Grinsdale, Burgh-by-Sands and Kirkbampton.
