| Description: |
The Church is largely built of stone taken from the Roman Wall and the large cavalry base (MAIA) which stood on the site of the present day village. Links with the history of the area can be found within the Church and its curtilage – Reiving; Smuggling; Haafnet Fishing.
The windows exemplify the changing styles and techniques of ecclesiastical stained glass from the 19th to the 21st centuries. There are some outstanding examples which greatly enhance the beauty of the building.
The Village Millennium Banner is housed in the north transept for most of the year. This is a corporate artefact of the local community and shows scenes depicting the history, environment and activities of the village.
