Loweswater St Bartholomew

Location: GR 142209 Loweswater - opposite the Kirkstile Inn.
Description: Original building 1125 - a chapel of ease linked to St Bees Priory. Present building dates from 1829 and enlarged in 1884 when population expected to increase because of discovery of lead vein running through the valley.
