Dendron St Matthew

Location: St. Matthew’s is the most rural parish of the Benefice; located in the tiny farming hamlet of Dendron between Gleaston and Leece just off Ulverston Road.
Description: An unusual construction simply built in the mid- 17th century initially with a small school attached. Once a ‘chapel of ease’ for Aldingham parish it gained parish status late in the 19th century. Wonderful acoustics and stunning views. History and more pictures on the website.
