The first chapel in Flookburgh was on what is now The Square, being a chapel of ease in the parish of Cartmel. In 1879 Flookburgh became a parish in its own right and a new church was built.
This church was finished in 1900 the building and the furnishings being generously given by Mr Victor Cavendish MP of Holker Hall. The adjoining church room was added in 1991 and provides excellent facilities for church groups to meet. The bell tower has 6 bells and are rung each
