Opening Times and what we offer
The Resource centre is found on West Walls, in the centre of Carlisle, adjacent to the Diocesan Offices in Church House and close to St Cuthbert's Church and the Cathedral.
These are our opening times:
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday : 10.00am - 4:45pm
Thursdays : 10:00am - 7:00pm term time only. (In school holidays close at 4.45pm.)
Fridays : 10:00am - 3:45pm
First Saturday of Month (term time only) : 10.00 - 12.30pm. We do not usually open on any other Saturdays in the month.
The centre is closed on Bank holidays, during Christmas week & on Good Friday.
The centre is operated by volunteer helpers who assist the Administrator and the Officer. The Resource Centre Officer is usually available on Thursdays to help with enquiries and support teachers and church workers. On some occasions it is necessary to close the centre early. We try to give as much notice as possible when this occasion arises by posting notices in the centre, but apologise for any inconvenience caused.
TRAIDCRAFT and related Fairtrade products are on sale, in addition to a selection of cards and other gifts. The Mothers' Union have a display and distribution point in the centre.
The CONFERENCE ROOM is available for meetings. Please contact Sue Emery (see above) to make a booking and from whom further details may be obtained. Meetings should usually be held within the opening hours as it is not always possible to staff the building outside these times.
