The Bishop of Carlisle has appointed the Revd Canon Dr Richard Pratt, currently Priest in Charge of Carlisle St Cuthbert with St Mary in the diocese of Carlisle, as Archdeacon of West Cumberland.

Richard's last Sunday at St Cuthbert's will be 4th January, and he will be licensed to his responsibilities as Archdeacon on Tues 20th January 2009 at 7.30pm at Str John's Hensingham. He will continue as Communications Officer until a new Communications Officer is appointed.
