The Appointment of a new Bishop
On behalf of the Diocesan members of the Crown Nominations Commission for the Vacancy in the See of Carlisle
We have now completed our work, and have been very grateful for the prayers of the diocese. A public announcement about the appointment of a new Bishop may reasonably be expected in two to three months time. In the meantime please respect the fact that we are bound by a strict code of confidentiality.

a true shepherd,
a man of God,
a minister of Christ.
Equip us to be, with him,
a church that is joyful in worship
united in witness,
caring and loving
to the glory of your name;
we ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
