Farewell to the Bishop of Carlisle

The farewell service for the Bishop of Carlisle is to be at 2.30pm on Saturday 28th March 2009 in Carlisle Cathedral.

Numbers in the Cathedral are limited and so admission to the Cathedral is by ticket only, with two tickets being allocated to each parish (one for clergy and one for laity), and other tickets for guests from round the county and more widely.  There is a waiting list for returned tickets, but as at today (4th March) it is likely that all those on the waiting list will be able to have tickets.
Ring Rose Castle (016974 76274) to go on the waiting list.

The service is to be relayed by CCTV to St Cuthbert's Church, and admission to St Cuthbert's is open to anyone.

There will be refreshments after the service - in the Fratry and Prior's Kitchen and in the Tithe Barn.  The Bishop and Mrs Dow will move round all three venues so that everyone gets a chance to speak to them.
