Rain Tax

Three weeks to deadline for signing petition against unfair water charges;  there are currently over 43,000 signatories!

The deadline for signing the petition on the Downing Street website which calls for "water companies to return to charging churches as charities rather than as business premises" is fast approaching: 9th April 2009. The petition follows the spirit of the motion passed by the General Synod on the same topic in February.
You can sign up at: http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/ChurchWaterBills/
