Team Vicar - South Barrow Team Ministry

to be part of their plans for the Church to be at the heart of the regeneration of the coastal town of Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria’s second largest urban centre, close to the Lake District National Park.

The Team Vicar will have pastoral care of St George’s Church, next to the new proposed marina. There are currently three other church buildings and exciting plans for the major new development of a church/community/health centre. You will work across the benefice with a Team Rector, Curate and Lay Assistant to refresh and build up Christian ministry to better serve the community. The tradition is broad and inclusive and seeks to embrace both established and innovative approaches, including work in schools and elderly care homes.
