Disciples Together

“Disciples Together” has been written especially for Christians in Cumbria as a Lent Course for 2011 - but suitable for use at any time. It is based on the Diocesan Vision for ‘growing disciples of all ages’.

Since all the denominations share a longing to see our churches growing mature disciples, the course material is available in an ecumenical version as well as an ‘Anglican’ version.  As ecumenism is an important element of the Diocesan Vision, we strongly encourage you to take the initiative to use the ecumenical version of this course with churches of other denominations in your area.

The course consists of materials for five 1½ hour sessions for a group to study together. They explore the ways in which, if we are truly growing as disciples of Jesus, this should be visible in our prayer and worship, maturity in faith, quality of relationships, community engagement and evangelism.  The materials are now available free here on our diocesan website.
