St Monica and St Mary Charity

The object of the Charity is relieving persons in need resident with the Diocese of Carlisle as follows:

1. Any single person male or female who has the care and custody of a child or children or who being a woman is expecting a child; the child or children in the care or custody of that person; provision, or assistance towards provision, for the needs of one-parent families through the establishment or management of residential accommodation.

2. For the purpose of this Scheme the expression single person shall mean any person male or female who is unmarried, widowed, or separated. The Management Trustees may not apply income of the Charity directly in relief of council tax, other taxes or public funds.

The Charity is able to help the very needy and those who fall through the safety net of the Social Services.
