Safety and Security

Basically:

we want people to be safe with us and in our buildings;  if something bad happened to someone, which we could have prevented, we would feel terrible, and would have let them down.

So if you are a member of a Parochial church council, hall committee or church warden then it is important that you understand the basics of health and safety. It is a good idea to nominate someone to take a lead in health and safety matters and clearly define who will carry out particular roles in managing the church building and activities.  You must ensure that you act upon the findings of the Quinquennial report  where they relate to safety.

There is no need to feel overwhelmed by bureaucracy - there is lots of help in this section of the website and from the people mentioned here.
