Discovering Faith Matters

Study materials for Homegroups

'Discovering Faith Matters' (DFM) provides materials on CD and on this website for small groups to print and use for exploring a wide range of aspects of the Christian faith in an informal way.

Courses/Modules 1,2, 3 & 4 are now available for groups to use!

Module 1 :  What is the Bible and how do we use it? (looking at how the Bible was compiled, its authority, and how we use it in everyday life).

Module 2 :  "The Bible" A Love Story (exploring the overarching story of God's relationship with us, his people - from Genesis to the new creation).

Module 3:  "Engaging Worship" (what it means to be a worshipping community, and how to deepen our experience of worship).

Module 4: (NEW!) "Travellers' Choices"- making decisions as Christians (exploring what difference being a Christian makes to how we decide and how we approach ethical issues).

"Discovering Faith Matters" is a series of modules (4 so far!) which is being written by an ecumenical team (Anglican, Methodist and URC), especially for Cumbria.  Each module has five sessions of 1½ hours.

It is possible to do as many modules as you like, and in any order.

Module 4 can be downloaded in the zip file below.  If you would like to order a CD containing  modules 1,2,3 & 4 contact:
