Urban and Industrial Chaplains
Industrial Chaplains
The Diocese has two Industrial Chaplains - at BAE Systems, Barrow and at Sellafield; they work ecumenically and are part of the Cumbria Industrial Mission network, which comes under the umbrella of the (ecumenical) Social Responsibility Forum.
CIM is chaired by the Ven Richard Pratt, and meets a couple of times a year. Notes of its meetings can be downloaded below:

Urban Chaplains
The Diocese has three Urban Chaplains - for Barrow-in-Furness, Carlisle and the West Coast who combine the role with that of Parish Priest and much else besides. The nature of an Urban Chaplain's work varies considerably depending on geography and local circumstances.
