Overview
Developing good practice in the growth and stewardship of financial resources and helping individuals and parishes appreciate the personal and collective financial implications of their Christian discipleship. Broadening the vision of financial resources and opportunities available - by maximising tax efficiency and seeking new ways of accessing financial support for church based projects.
Develop teaching and preaching on giving and to offer training to clergy and laity.
Advising parishes to define their projects in such a way as to be understood and supported by external funding bodies.
Researching financial opportunities and communicating their availability in order to encourage parishes to broaden the scope of outreach and mission.
Monitoring developments in the ‘Third Sector’ and considering their potential impact on the work of parishes.
Advising on governance and trusteeship issues and assisting those parishes required to register with the Charity Commission.
