How to be Tourist-friendly

Tourism

Tourism is an important part of the Cumbrian economy.  It is also an important part of the Church's ministry: Christians (and those of other faiths) have always made pilgrimage - indeed until modern times, pilgrimage was the only travel for purposes other than work or war.

Visitors to our churches need to be made welcome, and the opportunity taken to tell them both our story and the Christian story.

On this page you can find some resources to help you with this ministry.

Leaflets for tourists and visitors to our county can be found by clicking here.
