Training (Life Long Learning)

Overview

Christian ministry is: Christians, according to their gifts, doing the work of Christ in the world.

So, Christians need to be witnesses to Jesus, to relate their faith to everyday life, to serve the needs of the people and communities in which they live and to work in partnership (laity and clergy together) to lead worship and to do pastoral, teaching and mission work.

On this website, the Church's ministry, and the training for that, is organised into three branches:
Everyday Life = the ministry of all Christians.
Authorised Lay Ministry = the ministry of those laity who have done some training and whose ministry is under the authority of the Bishop: Readers and Commissioned Lay Ministers
Ordained Ministry = the ministry of the clergy

Links to these branches are displayed to the left and above.
