1 The King, the Snake & the Promise (Enhanced CD, ISBN: 1873166559) is a useful resource for after-school clubs, Sunday Schools, etc, for primary-school children. It provides a full teaching script (including bible story), activities and a song for each session. It's particularly good for inexperienced or busy leaders because it gives you virtually everything you need to run each session. The material takes children through the Bible in 10 weeks, including Creation, the Fall, Abraham (the promise), David, Solomon, Exile, Jesus' birth, death, resurrection and ending with heaven. It has catchy biblical songs included and lesson plans to help you. Whilst it obviously doesn't cover all scripture it is a good spring board from which the gospel as shown in the whole Bible can be taught to kids. There is also an interesting felt banner which builds up over ten weeks to make with pictures of each of the stories to help them remember what they've learnt. I'd be happy to give more information to anyone interested. Rev'd Brian Magorrian
2 One thing that seems to work well to involve children and young families in the worshipping life of the church is the use of action songs in our main morning service. After the welcome, opening hymn and penitential section, we invite the children forward and we all join in a couple of action songs before the children go out to their groups. This has had the effect of raising the profile of the children within the church family and helped everyone to see that it is not just an adult act of worship with Junior Church tacked on.

3 Suggestion for a simple Nativity Play (which doesn't need lots of rehearsal)
