1    St Cuthbert’s Carlisle, the Cathedral & Methodists@Tithebarn  do a series of five or six afternoon events through the year:
Epiphany, Good Friday, Ascension/Whit, Harvest, All Saints

The general format is simple: start at 1.45pm with a registration and then at 2pm a 20 minute act of worship;  then some activity - a walk, cooking, craft, etc which feeds into a final act of worship at 3.30pm, followed by refreshments, finishing at about 4pm.  For the final part, you could have an entertainer or magician.
We get Mums and Dads to come along and help;  we usually have some sort of carousel of activities - so that the children are in groups (and the younger children stay with parents but the older ones don't!)

We get an ad hoc group to plan each one;  some are more elaborate, some less so.  We have made a small charge when there have been significant costs - otherwise not.
