We are an ancient village church that is actively involved  with the local villages, Low Furness School and the wider communities. We feel  we are a very friendly and welcoming church family.

We undertake lots of charitable activities to raise money not only the church but also for local groups. We believe we are an important part of life in the Furness Peninsula and we are always open to new ideas.

Reputedly the most ancient church in Furness. In the 12c the monks who built Furness Abbey took charge of St Marys in the Fields which is believed to have been in existence for 200-300 years at that time.
