Situated about a mile from the ancient village itself and is now on the roadside of the main A66 trunk road.

A Norman Church with some of the stonework dating back to 1180 although work was still being completed in the 14th century. The church was extensively restored in the 19th century.

Broughton Moor was again part of the ancient parish of Bridekirk. The Church was built in 1905 and its design resembles the Abbey church of St Columba on Iona. It is built with local stone.
