Warwick
The church is located behind the Memorial Hall in the village. If approaching from Brampton, take the A69 over the River Eden and up the hill. At the top of the hill turn right and follow the track up to the church.

For many years we have struggled for numbers. With a decline in the ageing congregation, coupled with a broken heating system, the decision to seek the closure of the building for public worship was taken. The future of the church remains uncertain.

This remarkable church is tucked away in fields behind a fine Georgian Sunday School. Its eye catching late Norman semicircular eastern apsidal sanctuary surrounded by thin pilaster strips surmounted by small rounded arches is a great rarity in England. St Leonard’s lives up to Pevsner’s accolade as being ‘the most memorable Norman village church in Cumberland’.

Wetheral
The church is located part way down Ferry Hill, a road leading from the village green in the centre of Wetheral, down to the River Eden.

Along with Holme Eden, we form part of the Eden Churches benefice committed to TELLING the good news, TENDING the church family and TRANSFORMING the local community.

Our worship is a blend of formal and informal.

Services of Holy Communion enjoyed a robed choir with CW Order 1 used.

Straddling the River Eden, the historic parish of Wetheral and its church have a fascinating history. The church can trace its origins back to the foundation of a Benedictine monastery in the village about 900 years ago. The present building is one of only two dedicated to Constantine in England.

Holme Eden
The church is located just outside the village of Warwick Bridge adjacent to the River Eden on the road to Great Corby.

Along with Wetheral and Warwick, we form part of the Eden Churches benefice committed to TELLING the good news, TENDING the church family and TRANSFORMING the local community. Our worship is informal in style with a music group and contemporary songs projected on a screen. Services of Holy Communion follow CW Order 2 in Contemporary Language, reflecting the long Conservative Evangelical tradition of the parish.

St Paul’s was designed by John Dobson in a modified Gothic style. It was built in 1845 to provide an additional place of worship for the growing populations of Wetheral and Warwick Bridge. It is also claimed he had it built to uphold the reformed evangelical faith of the Church of England.
