Although the church was founded in 1687, the present white/rendered church is mainly early 19th century with later chancel and vestry extensions in green Borrowdale Stone. The church is low and topped by a decorated bellcote. It contains a late Georgian pulpit from an inundated church and a pair of period (17th century?) chairs.
