Diocese of Carlisle

What is an Anglican?

An Anglican is a member of the Church of England or of the Worldwide Anglican Communion.

Anglicans are people who are part of a church that embraces both Catholic and Protestant beliefs. The diocese of Carlisle is led by Bishop James and every place in the county of Cumbria is part of an Anglican parish.

The Church of England is the national church and the Queen is the head of the church.
