Growing Younger Enabler for Children & Families Diocese of Carlisle

Do you have a heart for nurturing the Christian faith and spiritual flourishing of children and families?

Are you ambitious and open to enabling our local churches, schools and communities to flourish for a new generation across our ecumenical county?

Do you have the drive and experience to support and equip lay and ordained leaders with the knowledge, skills and confidence to faithfully improvise and develop new worshipping communities for children and families?

The Diocese of Carlisle is looking for a Growing Younger Enabler for Children and Families who is creative and innovative, respectfully engaging people and places in ways which honour and encourage established culture and church life. In addition, an enthusiasm and commitment to collaborative working will be essential with the ability to effectively build relationships and work in partnership with others.

As part of the Mission and Ministry, Support and Innovation team you will have a pivotal role in delivering key elements of the Growing Younger Project funded by a five-year Diocesan Investment Programme award and the Growing Younger Strategy.

Working across rural and urban Cumbria this is an exciting opportunity for a missional and experienced children and families leader with a passion to serve and support local churches, primary schools and communities, embedding both faithful improvisation and mixed ecology in a Diocese with a commitment to the spiritual flourishing of children and families, as together we nurture and support their journey of faith.

This is a full-time position of 35 hours a week.

    Salary £40,462 FTE plus 15% non-contributory pension.
