The Diocese of Carlisle is looking for an

Safeguarding Support & Engagement Officer

To be based in Penrith who will

• Engage church officers to support the development of safeguarding arrangements, good practice, policy, and training across the diocese of Carlisle.
• Provide advice, guidance and support to parishes to implement the Parish Safeguarding Dashboard and Safeguarding Hub systems.
• Deliver safeguarding training.
• Respond to low level safeguarding concerns and maintain accurate records.

This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, however, we welcome discussion around part time working.

Salary: £34,000 FTE + 15% non-contributory pension (pro rata based on 35-hour week).

This post will require an Enhanced DBS check.
