Supporting schools' Religious Education teaching is a key part of the work of the Education Team.

Training sessions held online run throughout the year, and include: 

• a termly Distinctiveness Network: an opportunity to keep up to date with local and national updates and best practice; 
• RE Support: planning for progression and balance, and unpicking the locally agreed syllabus; 
• Understanding the Bible: an introduction to handling the Bible with confidence in the life and work of a church school; 
• Effective RE: covering the legal requirements for VA and VC schools, Ofsted and SIAMS expectations;
• Termly RE cluster: aimed at headteachers, RE leads, Collective Worship leads and those involved in ethos groups or similar;
• Half termly SIAMS briefings with a specific session on Inspection Questions 6 and 7 focusing on Religious Education

We also hold an annual RE and Collective Worship Conference in the autumn term.

It is also possible to request bespoke training for individual schools.
