Benefice of Maryport, Netherton, & Flimby with Broughton Moor Team Rector
Benefice of Maryport, Netherton, & Flimby with Broughton Moor
Team Rector
This benefice covers three parishes serving the vibrant, growing town of Maryport and the dynamic village of Flimby on the fabulous west coast of Cumbria. The church at Broughton Moor is closed, but the community remains within the benefice. The benefice has benefitted from SDF funded lay pioneer ministry which has resulted in significant missional growth. A recent legacy for missional activity provides the incoming Rector with a substantial opportunity to build on that work. A new eco-vicarage will provide an excellent new home in an attractive, exciting place to live and serve.
The churches have identified the following priorities:
A strong focus on reaching out and engaging with the local community
Reaching the younger generation, growing and developing our work with children and young people
Having a heart for mission, reaching the lost and growing the church
Establishing good quality pastoral care for all ages and stages of life
Deepening unity and working relationships between the 3 Churches
God is Good!
Could He be calling you to somewhere as exciting as this?
