Curacy - St Paul's Barrow, with Newbarns

At St Paul’s, we aspire to live out the Bible’s rich vision of church as a body, with everyone having a part to play! But as part of this church‑wide team, we have a clergy team entrusted with pastoral oversight of the church:
Robin Ham (Lead Minister), Elaine Bates (Associate Minister), and Sarah Richardson (Associate Minister).
Together, they seek to offer a supportive training environment rooted in a generous orthodoxy, where you’ll be encouraged to grow in wisdom, confidence, and character.
With a mix of gifts, experiences, and callings — full‑time, part‑time, and self‑supporting — we work as a team to lead, pray, and serve the church and wider community. Elaine brings a wealth of experience in lay development and ministerial formation, now serving the Diocese as Initial Ministerial Education 2 (Curacies) Officer. Sarah brings a dual vocation as an ordained local GP, embodying holistic, incarnational ministry in the community.
As a curate, you’ll be welcomed into this team, given space to learn, and entrusted with real ministry as you grow in your own calling to proclaim afresh Christ to every generation.
