We are excited to be recruiting for THREE new ministry roles in Barrow-in-Furness in South Cumbria:
Two new Growing Younger Mission & Discipleship Enablers, each embedded in a pairing of local parishes and enabling ministry amongst 0-18s, and a new Network Youth Church Leader with a town-wide focus on 11-18s.
These new team members will work closely together to bring God’s message of love to rising generations in our town, as well as operating within the Rising Faith Barrow vision.

The Diocese of Carlisle is committed to growing more disciples of Jesus Christ, strengthening local churches in mission, worship and discipleship across Cumbria.
The Cumbrian Way is the Diocese’s joined-up vision for church planting, revitalisation and renewed local mission. In Barrow Deanery, this vision is taking shape through Rising Faith Barrow, which seeks to revitalise churches in four of our key parishes, plant new congregations and strengthen mission to and the discipleship of youth and children.
To support this, we are seeking to appoint two Growing Younger Mission & Discipleship Enabler to support our churches to develop local leadership, orientate the church towards mission and establish new programmes and new rhythms that enable more local youth and children to become lifelong disciples of Jesus, rooted in the local church.
Working with St Paul’s and St Aidan’s Newbarns, this is one of the two posts - an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative, faith filled and creative context with churches keen to engage in mission and regrow.
If you are a team player, enthusiastic about mobilising the gifts of others, experienced in leading youth & children’s mission, with a passion to reach people with the life changing news of Jesus we would love to hear from you.
This is a full-time role, fixed term initially until 2030 due to external funding. Salary is £29,260 plus 15% non-contributory pension.
This post is subject to an occupational requirement that the postholder be a practising Christian under Part 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
