    Head of Local Ministry Finance and Stewardship

    Working across Cumbria

    • Could you build trusted funding partnerships with the local church?
    • Do you have an eye for detail and a grasp of the bigger picture?
    • Can you manage a complex process across multiple contexts and stakeholders?

    The Diocese of Carlisle is looking for somebody who will work across Cumbria to:

    -develop and implement our approach to resourcing local ministry deployment

    -lead extensive dialogue between Diocesan leadership and the local church to agree new and sustainable ministry patterns and levels of giving

    -negotiate associated funding partnerships with the local church

    -integrate the Code of Fundraising practice into our processes

    -develop and monitor the Diocesan stewardship/giving strategy and oversee stewardship support

    This is a full-time position, but we will consider applications from candidates wishing to work on a job share or part-time basis. Applications are welcome from ordained and lay applicants.

    Salary: £50,703 pa and generous pension. Flexible working.

    Applicants must be willing to undergo relevant safeguarding checks including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service, appropriate to the post.
