Lamplugh Kirkland and Ennerdale - House for Duty Minister
Diocese of Carlisle & Cumbria Methodist Circuit
House for Duty Minister
(if an Anglican appointment, this will be a Priest in Charge, but the post is also open to ordained Methodist presbyters)
Lamplugh Kirkland and Ennerdale LEP
One parish, three beautiful churches
This combined Parish is set in a UNESCO World Heritage site among the unspoiled lakes and fells of West Cumberland. It has recently reviewed its Mission Action Plan. For over 30 years, it has been a Local Ecumenical Partnership (LEP) incorporating both Anglican and
Methodist traditions. This is a ‘House for Duty’ appointment, nominally based on Sunday duties plus a 2-day working week, so applicants will need to be substantially self-supporting. It is open to ordained Anglican priests, or to ordained Methodist presbyters. The living is suspended only in order to facilitate an ecumenical appointment. No pastoral reorganisation is currently contemplated.
