Welcome to the homepage for St John the Baptist's church, Ulpha.

We will be holding the Christmas Market, in aid of Duddon Valley churches, on Saturday 30th November, at the Browfoot Room, Ulpha.  There will be stalls with local crafts, cakes, books, cards, etc. Starting at Noon, with auction at 1.30pm. Free entry; soup and sandwich lunch £5 per head.

Holy Trinity Church at Seathwaite will be hosting the Valley Churches Christmas carol service on Saturday 14th December, starting 5pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Our church is open at all times and you are very welcome to visit. Please leave your comments in our visitors book.

We will have two services each month.  Our schedule is for a family Communion service on the first Sunday of each month, starting at 3pm, with our regular lay led Evensong service on the third Sunday at 6pm.

We encourage all of you with children to bring them along to the family service on the first Sunday of every month at 3pm. Of course, you are welcome to come along without youngsters and enjoy the atmosphere in our lovely church.

All are welcome for the Evening service on the third Sunday of each month. In December, this service will of course have a Christmas theme.

If you are visiting the area on holiday, or visiting family, come along on our first or third Sundays.  They happen every month, so no excuses for missing them...  All the services in the area are advertised in the Parish Pump, available locally and online.
