    Churches and communities across the Diocese of Carlisle have celebrated the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen in style.

    St Mary's and St Michael's Great Urswick was resplendent as a flower festival was held

    Kendal Parish Church

    Kendal saluted the Queen during a special songs of praise service
    Kendal Parish Church hosted a number of Platinum Jubilee displays too

    Lamplugh with Ennerdale Parish

    The Lamplugh beacon on High Hows was well alight
    A Platinum Jubilee tree was planted in the grounds of Kirkland Mission church

    Patterdale

    A Platinum Jubilee pop-up picnic was the order of the day in Patterdale

    Kirkby Lonsdale

    Soryteller Keith Donnelly entertained the crowds at a teddy bears picnic in Kirkby Lonsdale
    More than 170 people enjoyed the teddy bears picnic

    Rockcliffe Parish

    There were four full days of celebrations in Rockcliffe including a huge get together on the green
    As well as a flower and memorabilia display in St Mary’s Church there was a torch lit parade through the village and lighting of a beacon

    St Andrew's Penrith

    More than 60 people gathered at St Andrew's Penrith to watch the Trooping of the Colour

    St Bridget's Moresby

    St Bridget's Moresby turned their regular Friday morning 'Drop-In' into a Jubilee Drop-In lunch.
    People dressed in red, white and blue and there was a bring and share lunch

    St Mary's Ambleside

    St Mary's Ambleside hosted a 'Right Royal Do' with stories and memorabilia from the local community

    St Michael's and St John's Workington

    More than 80 people attended a great celebratory Jublilee Tea with entertainment on Sunday afternoon
    Bellringing was just some of the entertainment provided

    Puddings were the order of the day for some Platinum Jubilee celebrations

    St Paul's Witherslack

    A Jubilee Celebration Service at St Paul’s Witherslack was followed by the burying of a time capsule and lunch and games in a nearby field

    St Mary and St Michael's Egremont

    The Tantony Ringers handbell team help lead the celebrations

    St Paul's Barrow

    There were Platinum Jubilee celebrations as part of Vintage Thursdays at St Paul's Barrow, a new monthly initiative for those in later life working with Anna Chaplaincy

    Western Dales

    Flipping burgers at the Big Lunch BBQ in Sedbergh
    There were also numerous social events, including afternoon tea in Dent and picnics in Cautley and Cowgill

    St Thomas Selside

    At St Thomas’s Selside there was a 1950s afternoon tea with prosecco, held at Selside Memorial Hall
    There was fun, food, fizz, 50's fashions, with nearly £700 raised for the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian appeal

    Greystoke with Penruddock and Mungrisdale

    On your marks.... the dads' race at Greystoke Sports Day was a competitive affair

    Threlkeld

    There was a full weekend of activities in Threlkeld including an OAP lunch with the village's olderst person cutting the cake
    On Saturday afternoon there was a Jubilee Fete with bouncy castle and children's races
