    Prayers for our 2023 ordinands

    Please do pray for all those to be ordained Deacon or Priest in just over a month's time. And please remember to uphold their families in prayer also.

    Six people will be ordained Deacon at a service at Carlisle Cathedral on Saturday 1 July at 11.30am. They are:

    • Emily Bagg to serve Central Lakes Mission Community
    • Christina Brentnall to serve Grasmoor Mission Community
    • Charles Cowling to serve Heart of Westmorland Mission Community
    • Rachel Mason to serve South Calder Mission Community
    • Jacqueline Oakes to serve Whitehaven Mission Community
    • Christopher Smith to serve Central Lakes Mission Community

    Two people will be ordained Priest at a service at Carlisle Cathedral on Saturday 1 July at 2.30pm. They are:

    • Lindsay Harrod to serve East of Eden Mission Community
    • Matthew Richards to serve Solway Plain Mission Community

    Both services will be livestreamed and simultaneously broadcast on the Diocese of Carlisle and Carlisle Cathedral Facebook pages. Please do support our ordinands by following the livestreams.

    Four others will be Priested by either Bishop James or Bishop Rob in their home churches. They are:

    2 July 2023, 10.30am – St James’ Arnside (Bishop Rob)
    Hannah Wallace to serve Kent Estuary Mission Community

    2 July 2023, 10.30am - St Bartholomew’s, Loweswater (Bishop James)
    Barbara Robinson to serve Grasmoor Mission Community

    2 July 2023, 3pm - St Paul’s, Barrow (Bishop James)
    Simon Jones to serve Barrow Mission Community

    2 July 2023, 6pm – Kendal Holy Trinity (Bishop Rob)
    Rob McLellan to serve Helm Mission Community
