Seeing a flourishing local church across Cumbria
The Church of England has invested in Carlisle Diocese for missional impact across all of our churches, Mission Communities and expressions of faith. This will work alongside and support our wider strategic vision, God for All.
“This award will fund frontline ministry, adding to the fantastic, faithful work which our local churches, clergy and other ministers do each and every day across the county.” Rt Rev Rob Saner‑Haigh, Acting Bishop of Carlisle.
The Cumbrian Way has two main areas of work
Growing in Mission
Revitalising creative mission across the diocese through church planting, leadership development, and supporting our mixed ecology of church.
Growing Younger
A birth-to-25 discipleship pathway ensures that babies, children, young people and young adults are welcomed, discipled and equipped for life-long faith.
