Welcome to Talkin Church.

Our parish is one of ten in the Eden, Gelt and Irthing Team Ministry. The Team Rector, Revd Stephen Robertson resides in nearby Brampton, while the Team Vicar, Revd Edward Johnsen, resides in Hayton. Edward has pastoral responsibility for Talkin parish, along with the parishes of Castle Carrock, Cumrew, Cumwhitton, Farlam and Hayton.

The parish of Talkin is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The Diocese of Carlisle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

Please let Edward the Vicar know (see Get in touch button) if you intend to come to any of these services so we can have an idea of numbers. While the services will be quite brief and simple, and among other restrictions there can be no singing, it will be lovely to see everyone who can make it - all are welcome. To make the services as safe as possible arrangements will be in place to enable 2 metre social distancing, and everyone attending will be asked to use the hand sanitiser by the entrances on entry and exit. Masks are mandatory. In services of Holy Communion communion will be offered 'in one kind' only (ie only the bread).

    Every 1st , 2nd , 3rd and 4th Sunday at 9:15 a.m. for 1 minutes
