Head of Safeguarding & Diocesan Safeguarding Officer
Joanna Van Lachterop
Joanna provides advice and support on safeguarding concerns where you are concerned that a child or vulnerable adult is at risk of harm, or you want to report abuse whether it is currently happening or happened some time ago. She has responsibility for ensuring that safeguarding action is taken within the diocese, supports victims & survivors and manages the DST.
Joanna works full-time for the diocese and is available Monday to Friday.

Safeguarding Support & Engagement Officer (Diocese and Cathedral)
Yvette Ladds
Yvette supports our parishes regarding any Parish Safeguarding Dashboard, Safeguarding Hub, and DBS related enquiries. She provides advice and guidance to develop and implement safeguarding arrangements, good practice, policy, and training at a local level across the diocese and at Carlisle Cathedral. Yvette also delivers induction, engagement and networking opportunities for our Parish Safeguarding Officers.
Yvette works full-time for the diocese and is available Monday to Friday.

Safeguarding Support and Training Coordinator
Kelly Crewe
Kelly will assist you with any enquiries relating to safeguarding training, parish DBS queries and for general information about the safeguarding services and support within the diocese.
Kelly works 28 hours for the diocese between Monday to Thursday
