Our Parish Safeguarding Officer is Clare Chittenden, telephone number 01946 861089 who should be contacted regarding any concerns relating to children or vulnerable adults.
The PCC has adopted the Church Of England Policy "Promoting a Safer Church", a copy of which which can be viewed on the Church noticeboard or discussed with Clare.
St Oswald's is currently kept locked because of the Covid 19 pandemic and the completion of some restoration work.
It is, however, available for personal private prayer - please ring either Clare Chittenden (01946 861089) or Michael Bonner (01900 605536) to arrange for a time for the Church to be opened if you wish to enter for personal prayer.</span>
In the hope that we will return to a "medium risk" tier 1 status on 3rd December we have made provisional arrangements for Advent, Christmas and January 2021 - on Sunday 13th December at 11.00 a.m. there will be a lay led Advent celebration, maintaining recommended social distancing and wearing face protection - no singing; on Christmas Morning at 10.00 a.m. there will be a traditional Book of Common Prayer said service of Holy Communion, again within the guidelines set by HM Government. On the afternoons of Monday 21st December, Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd the Church will be open for family groups and for individuals to visit the crib with the holy family - again, social distancing will be maintained, face covering required, with records taken of all visitors.
On the second Sunday in January (10th) there will be a lay led service of Morning Prayer, and on the fourth Sunday (24th) there will be a Common Worship Holy Communion
As we continue our recovery from the Covid lockdown, there will be public worship services at Dean - Morning Prayer on the second Sunday each month, with Holy Communion on the fourth Sunday
We have Common Worship Holy Communion on the 4th Sunday each month.
