Welcome to St John's Church! We are the Church of England Church for Cark, Ravenstown, Sandside, Holker and Flookburgh.

We've a warm welcome to you in our Sunday gatherings, normally 10.00am for an hour's singing, praying, learning and a good natter over coffee afterwards. On the third Sunday every month our service is at 4.00pm in the afternoon instead of the morning. On these afternoons we meet for tea and cake beforehand, from 3.15pm.

We have a really impressive building for your wedding, Christening, or funeral.

We also run many community-based events through the year: do get in touch!

"The parish of Flookburgh: St John the Baptist is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Carlisle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
