Holy Trinity Langdale, LA229JJ
The parish of Langdale: Holy Trinity is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Carlisle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
This service is designed to appeal to a wide variety of people of all denominational backgrounds - partly because we are now the only Christian church which remains in this valley. We follow Lectionary readings, and aim to breathe new life into the traditional forms. Communion is served on the second and fourth Sundays of each month (as well as at Christmas, Maundy Thursday, Easter and Pentecost) and open to all who follow Jesus. There is a space at the back with toys and suitable books where parents can take younger children. Walkers are most welcome - as are stockinged feet if they feel boots are dirty. We regularly have dogs in the congregation. Light refreshments are served after each service to which all are most welcome.
