Services and other events: These have started again in our church building, in a limited way. If not in our building there will usually be one in a nearby church in our group- at Great Salkeld, Lazonby or Renwick. Visit the 'Services and Events' page to learn about these, Friday morning prayers, downloadable services to print and other sources of help. You can also go to the East of Eden Community website for up to date local online resources and information. CLICK HERE

St. Oswald's Church will now be generally open for private prayer every day from 10am. to 5pm.  until October 2nd 2021. Anyone wishing to gain access at other times will need to contact Ruth Lee on 01768 898604, or one of the churchwardens.

For Safeguarding: To ensure that we keep everyone safe, we have a Parish Safeguarding Officer, who does what is needed to keep children and vulnerable people safe. St Oswald's is in a group (or benefice) of 4 churches; the other churches in the group are: St Nicholas, Lazonby, All Saints', Renwick, and St Cuthbert's, Great Salkeld.

Sunday

  • Weekly nationwide, online service from the Church of England-click on 'More about this event' button

If you can't attend church locally, or see one of our local 'Zoom services', you can still watch an online service streamed from the Church of England. Each week they come from a different part of the country or have a different theme. Draw closer to God in company with people from across the UK.
The service is recorded so that you can choose when you want to watch it. You can also see previous services.

Every Sunday at 9 a.m. for 60 minutes

It is a positive way of praying - especially in the current Coronavirus situation.
At the moment we are meeting in the garden of the Methodist manse in Kirkoswald to pray together for our local community. If coming for the first time, or you have any other queries, contact Keith Speck: Tel: 01768 898257
    Email: keithspck1@googlemail.com
You can also pray from your home or your garden (great to hear the birds as well!), or find some other quiet spot nearby. Suggested prayers are attached as a PDF file upload - click on 'view attachment' below.
