St Cuthbert - Great Salkeld, CA11 9NA
An old village Church - in the centre of our community and for our community. We have a reputation for offering a very friendly welcome to all.
We are an 'open church'. Our door is never locked, and the building is still open for private prayer. Please use hand sanitiser before and after using the church door, and observe social distancing if necessary.
For Services and other events: We have decided to stop services in church buildings from 1st January 2021 for the time being due to the current upsurge in Covid-19. But we will seek to maintain an online service most weeks. Visit the 'Services and Events' page of this website to see details of online services or a service to use at home on your own. We also have Friday morning prayers of blessing for our community- contact Peter Pickthall for details.

If you can't attend church locally, or see one of our local 'Zoom services', you can still watch an online service streamed from the Church of England. Each week they come from a different part of the country or have a different theme. Draw closer to God in company with people from across the UK.
The service is recorded so that you can choose when you want to watch it. You can also see previous services.

Sunday Worship from your own home - on paper - Sunday 28th. February 2021.
If you can't go to church you can still spend a special time with God each Sunday from our own home and in the knowledge that you will be doing this whilst others in the Parish and wider Mission Community will also be taking part.

Friday morning prayers held weekly to bless our local community- now meeting on 'Zoom'.
On Friday mornings, for just half an hour, we meet to pray God’s blessings on our local community. This starts at 9 a.m. and we are meeting together on 'Zoom'. (Normally we meet at St Cuthbert's Church, Great Salkeld -outside if possible but otherwise in church). At present some are also choosing to pray individually in their own homes. All over the country similar groups are praying at the same time. This is a positive way of praying for the community - especially in the current Coronavirus situation.
A copy of the Friday Blessing Prayers is attached as a PDF file that can be upload - click on 'view attachment' below.
Contact Peter Pickthall for more details and how to join on 'Zoom': 01768 898396
