The parish of Ambleside is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Carlisle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

Reflective Service
This service offers a peaceful and contemplative space for those who appreciate traditional worship. With communion most weeks, well-loved hymns, and moments of quiet reflection, it provides a sacred time to pause, pray, and reconnect with God.

Contemporary Service
Our new 11:00 am service is designed to be more informal, welcoming people of all generations, including families, youth, and students—especially those who might not be familiar with church. Through contemporary worship music, prayer, and a focus on community, this service creates a space where everyone can explore faith at their own pace. Afterward, we regularly share lunch together, deepening our connections over good food and conversation.
